MML is thrilled to announce that we are seeking to sponsor League members with under 5,000 population for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Circuit Rider Manager Program who do not already have a sponsor entity. This program allows small municipalities to form regional circuits and share a manager/administrator to assist your municipality. Instead of seeking out partners and sponsors, MML will now step in to fulfill this role on behalf of your municipality.
MML will host a webinar to go into further detail about this opportunity on February 13, at noon. Please register here.

The "If I Were Mayor...I Would..." essay contest is the League’s longest running ambassador program. The program is designed to help Maryland's fourth graders develop an understanding of municipal government and the role of the mayor. Each year, nearly 3,000 essays are submitted by students, describing how they would honor the traditions of the past while keeping up with the innovation of the future.
Join the Engagement and Outreach Committee during their virtual reading session on March 12. The essays are short, fun, and insightful. Witness firsthand what the great minds of Maryland's future community leaders have to say.
