There's still time to register. Experience our Mobile Tours, crafted to inspire knowledge sharing and highlight initiatives municipal leaders can replicate in their own communities. Mobile tours are hosted on Wednesday, December 2, in conjunction with the MML Excellence in Leadership Conference.

Fells Point & Harbor East Walking Tour: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

On October 28, MML Leadership and staff visited the University of Baltimore's Schaefer Center for Public Policy to engage with college students and raise their awareness about the role of local government, municipal services, and public-sector career opportunities. This visit was a part of the League's latest engagement program, LeadForward: Campus to Community visits, inspired by MML Past President Mayor Todd Nock.

In collaboration with the university's NextGen Leaders for Public Service program, elected officials and municipal staff from across the state joined for an informal conversation with students on how they can make an impact through municipal government. October 8 is here, and limited tickets remain for a full day designed around the issues, skills, and conversations that matter to Maryland’s municipal leaders. The day will begin with our Statewide Candidate Forum, moderated by MML President and Town of Bladensburg Mayor, Takisha James, where invited statewide candidates including Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller will share their priorities and discuss what their vision for Maryland could mean for municipalities.

Hear directly from statewide candidates on the issues affecting Maryland’s municipalities, connect with fellow municipal officials seeking higher office, and sharpen your skills through nonpartisan grassroots advocacy training. We’ll also share an important update on the statewide task force studying local revenue as we look ahead to the 2027 legislative session.

On October 8, the Maryland Municipal League will host the 2026
Municipal Town Hall, providing municipal leaders with a unique
opportunity to hear directly from the major-party primary winners
for Maryland’s four statewide offices: Governor, Lieutenant
Governor, Attorney General, and Comptroller. Invited candidates
will address a municipal audience and respond to questions on the
issues that matter most to local leaders and the communities they
serve. There will be no debate or political sparring - just direct,
substantive conversation focused on the priorities of Maryland’s
municipalities.

Following the statewide candidates’ program, attendees are invited
to participate in a series of local government-focused workshops.

As we prepare to launch attendee registration for the Excellence in Leadership Conference on September 8, it's best to make sure you have your dates correct. Check out our Leadership Con website and mark your calendars with important dates.
