Banner City/Town Contenders – Your Journey Continues

 

MML's Banner City/Town Program bestows formal recognition each year to cities and towns that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to MML programs and activities.  The program serves as a guidepost on how to make the most of your MML membership.

If a representative from your municipality attended the summer and fall conference and conducted a Municipal Government Works (MGW) month activity, your journey continues for your Banner City/Town designation.

Work with your officials to ensure you stay in contention by completing the following criteria by May 23:

  • Attend half of your chapter's events/activities
  • Conduct a school visit (any age, any level) to explain municipal government and its benefits
  • Check the list for opportunities to meet Criteria 5.

If you are one of the 91 municipalities listed (based on 2024 fall conference registration), you are still in contention for your Banner City/Town designation:
