The Banner City/Town Program bestows formal recognition each year to cities and towns that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to MML programs and activities. This program serves as a guidepost on how to make the most of your MML membership.

If a representative from your municipality attended the summer and fall conference and conducted a Municipal Government Works (MGW) month activity, your journey continues for your Banner City/Town designation.
Remain in contention for your 2026 Banner City/Town designation by working with your officials to complete the following criteria by May 11:
- Attend half of your chapter's events/activities
- Conduct a school visit (any age, any level) to explain municipal government and its benefits
- Check the list for opportunities to meet Criteria 5.
If you are one of the 79 municipalities listed (based on 2025 fall conference registration), you are still in contention for your Banner City/Town designation:
