The Maryland Municipal League is working with the Schaefer Center for Public Policy at the University of Baltimore to create a Catalog of Municipal Services. This catalog will document the work Maryland’s 157 municipalities are doing with respect to services such as public safety, infrastructure maintenance, code enforcement, refuse collection, and access to public facilities. The catalog is also expected to include information on how many residents or visitors use each service and the cost of each service. The Schaefer Center will be contacting municipal administrators in early September to request their assistance in providing use and cost data and providing the Schaefer Center’s initial findings. Administrators will receive an email from Dr. Ann Cotten, Executive Director of the Schaefer Center, asking them to provide the information via a short survey.
