[ARCHIVED] What’s an OMO?

Virtual Orientation for Municipal Officials – Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 1 pm

Our Virtual OMO (Orientation for Municipal Officials) is an interactive webinar designed to help bring new officials quickly up to speed and give veteran officials a refresher on fundamentals. It can be accessed via laptop, desktop or smartphone. OMOs are usually 45 minutes long. We also record them and archive them on MML's Youtube page for later viewing. However, attending live allows you an opportunity to ask questions and meet some members of the MML team.

MML’s December 1 OMO will outline some of the fundamentals of municipal governance, help officials understand what the Maryland Municipal League does and offer a special focus on the Forms of Municipal Government. Please be sure to take a look at your municipality’s charter before the OMO and see if you know which form of government you’re governed by.

RSVP for this event to MML Member Engagement Director Paula Chase Hyman at  The link for the event will be emailed to all who RSVP on November 30.
