The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) has opened the Clean Fuels Technical Assistance (CFTA) Program, a new pilot, test-of-concept program which aims to provide eligible local government and municipal fleets with technical assistance as they consider alternative transportation fuel options for their on-road fleet. Through CFTA, a technical assistance contractor employed by MEA will be tasked to work directly with eligible fleets, selected via a first-come, first-served application process, for the purpose of developing potential alternative fuel fleet strategies for on-road vehicles. These possible strategies will be identified in a summary report for each participating fleet.
Applications are due no later than November 11th. For more information on the program, including the program guidelines and application form, please visit the program website. Please reach out to Mike Jones at Michael.jones1@maryland.gov if you have any questions.
