In 2016 the FCC authorized Verizon to migrate telephone customers from the traditional copper network to a fiber network. OPC negotiated an agreement with Verizon about the content of customer notices before the migration can take place.
Verizon has adopted additional steps for customers with concerns about entry of technicians into their homes due to the pandemic. These rules are in effect at least through December 31, 2020.
