The American Flood Coalition (FloodCoalition.org) is a non-partisan coalition advocating for national solutions to flooding and sea level rise. The AFC offers municipal governments a unified voice in advocating for federal funding, shares best practices that support local and state-level responses to flooding and sea level rise, and offers in-house expert and technical support on multiple levels. At 206 members and growing, the AFC is a member-driven non-profit, and there are no costs or legal obligations associated with membership. AFC’s Dual Disaster Handbook (on local response to flooding during COVID-19), and Federal Funding for Small Cities Guide are examples of high-quality resources produced by AFC for local leaders.
