[ARCHIVED] T-Mobile Launches FREE 5G for First Responsers

free 5G

Shared with the Maryland Municipal League:

The merger of T-Mobile and Sprint promised to deliver #5GForGood, using the combined company’s expanded capacity to help our communities. Today, I’m excited to share that T-Mobile launched our Connecting Heroes program, making good on that promise.

Connecting Heroes is a ten-year commitment to provide free service and 5G access to first-responder agencies. All public and non-profit state and local fire, police, and EMS departments, along with 9-1-1 call centers, are eligible for free service on T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network. Public safety agencies can reach out to us at: T-Mobile.com/ConnectingHeroes. We are grateful for the work our public safety officials do to keep us safe, particularly now as they respond to the national COVID-19 crisis.

This announcement is in addition to the existing Magenta First Responder plan, our best-in-class plan for individual first responders and their families.

You can read all the details in our press release here. Please let me know if you have any questions.
