One of our favorite parts of the summer conference is acknowledging each of you and your engagement in the League as we designate the year’s Banner Cities and Towns (BCT). Though we will have to do it differently this year, we still plan to honor our 2020 BCTs during the virtual conference. If you have not already turned in your application, the deadline is May 25.
As a reminder:
* We have waived the school visit criteria this year, due to the state-wide school shut down preventing some from getting to schools
* All other criteria remains in place
* Attendance at both the 2019 summer and fall conferences are required for a BCT designation
* Attendance at half of your chapter’s events are required and there are virtual meetings for both Prince George’s and Montgomery, for anyone in those counties still needing a last meeting
Below are those who remain in contention. Congratulations to those in bold who have turned in their applications and have successfully completed the 2020 Banner City/Town journey.
If you have turned in an application and do not see your name, please contact Member Engagement Director, Paula Chase Hyman at: paulah@mdmunicipal.org
