Earlier this week, MML Executive Director Scott Hancock and Government Relations Specialist Candace Donoho met with Governor Hogan’s newly appointed policy director, Keiffer Mitchell, to discuss the League’s two legislative priority issues. In addition to meeting with Mr. Mitchell, MML staff was met with all six of the policy office’s Deputy Legislative Officers who serve as liaisons to various State agencies handling a myriad of issues important to local government. In addition to discussion MML’s priorities to restore municipal Highway User Revenues and protect local zoning when locating 5g infrastructure, League staff also discussed several other legislative issues of importance including comparative negligence, Maryland’s public information act, and affordable housing. These meetings will continue throughout the 90-day legislative session as needed.
