The State of Maryland is inviting local elected and appointed officials to a one-day educational program on climate change designed specifically for local officials in Maryland. This program will provide participants with foundational knowledge around climate change impacts to regional and local economies across Maryland, as well as examine the impacts upon critical infrastructure, security and public health.
The workshop will explore the authorities and tools available for understanding and adapting to various climate implications, as well as participate in a series of facilitated exercises designed to help you consider a variety of planning actions. The program will take place on January 7, 2020 (8:30am - 5:00pm) at the Crowne Plaza in Annapolis. Questions can be directed to Daniel Kreeger at dkreeger@climateofficers.org.
