stormwater-containment

The Environmental Finance Center at the University of Maryland, in partnership with LandStudies, Inc., is pleased to announce a new online course available through the Municipal Online Stormwater Training (MOST) Center. The course, titled Economic Ecology: Maximizing Economic and Environmental Returns Through Floodplain Restoration, will provide an overview of Economic Ecology™, a regional approach to solving water-resource issues that maximizes both economic and environmental returns on investment. Successful examples from the Lititz Watershed in Lancaster County, PA are used to demonstrate the benefits of addressing environmental issues on a regional scale, specifically through floodplain restoration.

The MOST Center is a free, virtual platform providing users with tools to better communicate about, build and enhance local stormwater programs. You’ll find the complete course catalog here.
