We have been asked by the Community Development Network to extend this invitation to our members:
The Community Development Network of Maryland, which promotes, strengthens and advocates for Maryland’s community development industry serving rural, urban and suburban communities statewide, invites you to take part in “Community Development Day in Annapolis” on February 7, 2019 in rooms 170 & 180 of the Lowe House Office Building (6 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD 21401).
They ask you to join them to tell legislators to restore funding to the Community Legacy program and provide funding for the Community Development Fun, both of which can be used by municipalities for essential programs. Community Legacy funds can help with a local government’s Sustainable Communities Action Plan. The Community Development Fund can assist with affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, community organizing, community services, housing and financial counseling, small business development and main street district revitalization.
