The Maryland Climate Leadership Academy has 25 openings for the upcoming free training series at Hagerstown Community College. Please share with anyone at your local jurisdiction or community leaders that may be interested. Register here.

The state is offering the training to people working across a variety of sectors who live or work in Maryland to create a community of climate-smart leaders in the state. The trainings are led by the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO) with a strong set of university, state, local, private and non-profit experts. Montgomery County and Rockville, Chesapeake Beach, and Salisbury are already participating, but ACCO is interested in more local government participation. The state is also covering the cost of Climate Change Professional Certification for local and state agency employees if those participants want to take that next step.

The Hagerstown Cohort dates are:

  • Session #1: February 19-20, 2019
  • Session #2: May 7-8, 2019
  • Session #3: June 12-13, 2019
