The next reporting deadline for Non-Entitlement Unit (NEU) recipients of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) is April 28, 2023. If your city or town is a recipient of SLFRF, there are a variety of resources available to ensure that your Project and Expenditure Report is completed properly and on time.

The State’s NEU Technical Assistance Program continues to provide Maryland’s cities and towns with invaluable support in SLFRF reporting and compliance generally, including through weekly virtual office hours.  Later this spring, MML anticipates working with the State to provide at least one webinar and a variety of updated tools and resources to assist Maryland municipalities navigate the reporting process.

You’ll still find an abundance of helpful resources on the U.S. Treasury’s Self-Service Resources page, from system login support to eligible uses to fiscal reporting FAQs.  You’ll also find the latest version of Treasury’s Compliance and Reporting Guidance, which was last updated in September 2022.

Finally, for those interested in exploring how other municipalities are using ARPA funding to improve their communities, Brookings Metro – in partnership with the National League of Cities (NLC) and National Association of Counties (NACo) – has generated an ARPA Investment Tracker listing project overviews from more than 15,000 local governments across the United States.
