[ARCHIVED] MML Statement - Tyre Nichols

statementDenise Mitchell Statement_

“Like the rest of the nation, I too, was horrified watching the violent video released on Friday evening. As the President of the Board of Directors for the Maryland Municipal League, I stand committed to working with partners across our state to ensure police reform and accountability. Within the State of Maryland, we have been working with local partners to implement representation for our 157 cities and towns. We must remain steadfast in our efforts to ensure the constituents residing in our cities and towns have a voice on police accountability boards, with 89 local independent law enforcement agencies. Join me in praying for Mr. Nichols's family and committing to eradicate the hate and violence that has plagued our nation for too long. “
