MML’s Legislative Committee has successfully narrowed down the potential legislative priorities to one issue: municipal involvement in Police Accountability Boards.
The Legislative Committee has also identified 2 strategic initiatives: 1. Expanding sources of municipal revenue; and 2. Municipal transparency and constituent communications.
The MML Board of Directors will vote on whether to adopt these recommendations later this month but before then, the Legislative Committee and MML Legislative Team will host 2 free webinars for MML members to learn more about the Legislative Action Request process and these specific recommendations, and share ideas on implementation following an exciting election cycle.
