[ARCHIVED] 39th Annual MPCA Conference Registration now Available

mpca

Registration is open for the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association's (MPCA) 39th annual conference at the City of Frederick Clarion Inn on October 25-26. This year’s conference theme is Planning for Challenges on the Horizon.

The MPCA recently developed a preliminary program for the conference, which is full of timely topics and expert panelists. The MPCA is also partnering with the Maryland Department of Planning to develop sessions that will be eligible for up to five AICP CM Credits.

The uncertainties of the past few years remain, but so do the challenges on the horizon. In a planning community navigating its way through the pandemic while simultaneously tackling the difficult issues of the 21st century, the benefits of a functioning and thriving citizen planning board are more apparent than ever.  The important work of citizen planners continues, and the MPCA can’t wait to gather once again, share insights, and learn about new and emerging planning trends that can benefit our communities.

The conference will offer topics of interest to the more than 1,400 citizen planners serving Maryland's counties and municipalities. To learn more about the conference and register, please visit the 39th Annual Maryland Planning Commissioners Association webpage. Sponsorship opportunities are available and the MPCA recently added a room block for the Clarion Inn.
If you have questions about the conference, or are interested in getting involved, please contact Joe Griffiths, Local Assistance and Training Manager for the Maryland Department of Planning, at joseph.griffiths@maryland.gov.
