The Green and Blue Infrastructure Policy Advisory Commission is a recently created entity and has two municipal seats. It’s purpose is to inform State and local government officials on ways to better implement green and blue infrastructure; which is land and water based solutions to more effectively improve environmental conditions. Examples of these types of projects include living shorelines, restore forest or agricultural lands, or improve climate resiliency. The group will meet at least three times per year and will produce recommendations based on their findings.
