Senate Bill 14, which establishes a Sustainable Maryland Program Fund administered by the University of Maryland Environmental Finance Center, was signed into law by Governor Hogan on May 16, 2022. This new fund will help to expand and enhance Sustainable Maryland’s promotion and support of Maryland municipalities to achieve environmental, economic, and social sustainability. The fund will receive $500,000/year starting in FY24.
