[ARCHIVED] MML Staff Testifies in Support of Local Cybersecurity Bills

MML staff has now testified in support of the Local Cybersecurity Support Act of 2022 (SB754/HB1202) in the Senate and House. Introduced by Senator Hester and Delegate Young, these bills will provide much appreciated funding, technical assistance, and ongoing support for local cybersecurity initiatives.

The greater package of cybersecurity bills introduced by the sponsors stems from conversations originating over a year ago and worked throughout the interim with input from MML and MACo. It represents a great model of collaboration and partnership between the State and local governments to protect our shared constituents.
