[ARCHIVED] Grant Program for Police Expenses

HB 411HB 411 provides additional grant funding to municipal police agencies for police protection services. Currently, this grant funding is at the level of $1,950 per municipal officer and this bill increases that to $2,925 per officer. This $975 per office increase results in about $1.75 million in additional grant funding to municipal agencies. The grant program allows for a broad array of uses to cover operational expenses of running a police agency. The bill also establishes a council tasked with coordinating inter-agency activities at the local law enforcement level.
