The Maryland Municipal League's (MML) Municipal Official Mentoring Program is a simple one-time program for new municipal officials to receive the benefit from experienced municipal officials in the same position. Because no one understands how a new municipal official feels—either a mayor, council/commission member or appointed official—better than another individual who has experienced similar "first-timer" transitions, MML wanted to give its new officials a way to interact and learn from their experienced peers.

Giving and receiving good advice and guidance, exchanging ideas, venting frustrations, and making friends will be some of the greatest rewards of participating in the program. If you are interested in volunteering for the program as either an experienced mentor or a new mentee, please fill out the registration form in the downloadable brochure below and return it to the League office.
