HEAL Cities & Towns
HEAL Cities and Towns Logo

The Maryland Municipal League and the Institute for Public Health Innovation have embarked on an initiative, the Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Cities & Towns Campaign, to support local elected officials to use local policies to create healthier communities.

The following Maryland cities and towns are actively committed to promoting active lifestyles and access to affordable, nutritious foods. They've either articulated a resolution about their support OR adopted a policy that promotes physical activity, active transportation, access to affordable nutritious foods in the municipality or in the municipal workplace. Those with an * are Inaugural HEAL Cities & Towns and were the first fifteen to achieve the designation.
