There are seven affiliate professional organizations within the Maryland Municipal League, known as Departments, created by the Board of Directors for the purpose of facilitating communication and cooperation within the League and between municipalities and levels of state and local government.
Departments are governed by bylaws approved and recognized by the Board of Directors. Membership is open to municipal government officials in the areas represented by each respective Department.
The seven Departments are: City and Town Administrators; Code Enforcement and Zoning Officials Association; Municipal Attorneys; Municipal Clerks Association; Municipal Parks and Recreation Association; Municipal Police Executives Association; and the Public Works Officials Association.
