Registration for the 2022 Maryland Mayors Winter Conference is now open.  This annual event provides the best opportunity for Maryland’s mayors to come together for workshops, round tables, and dialogue with key State officials. If you’ve never been to the MMA Winter Conference, below is preliminary information to get you started.

The Conference is traditionally an intense day revolved around timely topics to help make you a more effective chief elected officer and a half-day legislative day designed to put you in front of your county/regional delegation. It is the only day that Maryland’s mayors physically unify as one voice in front of the Maryland general assembly. The official agenda will be published once finalized.

The Maryland Mayors Association (MMA) serves as a resource to Maryland's mayors by helping its members better serve their municipalities and to promoting Maryland Municipal League initiatives. MMA also is involved with and funds the “If I Were Mayor…” Essay contest which seeks to engage 4th graders across   Maryland in local government.  

The Annual Winter Conference is the organization’s sole sponsorship opportunity. This high-profile event is a two-day intensive of workshops and lobbying activities.  Details include:

· Held Thursday and Friday, March 31st and April 1st at the Graduate in Annapolis, MD.

· Average of over 60 mayors attend, representing nearly half of Maryland’s Municipalities

· Conference attendees traditionally are among the most engaged and active members in both MMA and Maryland Municipal League.
